I'm sure many of you have heard that the Provo Tabernacle in Utah burnt down last week. I thought this was super cool, so I had to share. It turns out this picture of the Second Coming was completely burned expect for the image of Christ in the center.

How do you get your children to clean up their toys? Do you bribe? Scream? Threaten? Take away privileges? I have definitely done all of those. But it still hasn’t solved my age old problem of how to get my kids to clean up their toys.
1. Pick out the cards which coordinate with the mess. Each person is responsible to clean up the cards they received. They can not get a new card until the one they have is cleaned. A card is taken away if you didn’t clean up the card correctly. The person who is done first gets a special privilege.
2. Pick out the cards which coordinate with the mess. For every card they finish they get a special privilege or treat. 8 cards = 8 minutes of staying up later, or 8 M&M’s, etc.
3. Pass out all the cards (some of which are already cleaned up) and give them a time limit (say 20 minutes). Set the timer for 20 minutes. Anytime they have left over goes into a pot. For example, they cleaned up in 13 minutes so they get 7 minutes. At the end of the week add that time up. If it is 42 minutes they get to pick the family game activity for 42 minutes.

Resistance Training + Intervals
Warm-up- 15 minute brisk walk outside.
Get your fresh air and vitamin D from the sunshine.
15 Push-ups on your toes or modify it on your knees
Today we are focusing on EXERCISE and if you are ANYTHING like ME...it needs to be quick...not boring and EASY to do!
So I have TWO great options for you today from the girls of PEACE.LOVE.FITNESS blog who teach classes out in California :)
OPTION ONE :
All you will need is some medium weighted dumbbells.
Resistance Training + Intervals
Warm-up- 15 minute brisk walk outside.
Get your fresh air and vitamin D from the sunshine.
15 Push-ups on your toes or modify it on your knees
25 Jumping jacks
15 Lunges

15 Military shoulder presses
15 Military shoulder presses
25 Jumping jacks
15 Mountain Climbers 25 Jumping jacks
Repeat 2-3x
Cool Down 15 minute walk
Warm-up: 10 minutes easy walk/jog
Interval Outside: If you are not on a piece of cardio equipment, get yourself up to a speed that you feel is only manageable for 10 seconds minimum to 30 seconds maximum, but you are still in control i.e. 100 meter dash.
Interval on Cardio Equipment: If you are doing your intervals on a piece of cardio equipment like a treadmill, resistance is a must when you are sprinting. If you are on a treadmill, add a 2.0 incline. If you are on a elliptical or bicycle add enough resistance to feel as though you are climbing up a hill. Then complete your sprint with speed + resistance, for 10 seconds minimum to 30 seconds maximum.
Rest: 1-2 minute walk in between each interval until your heart rate comes down or you can carry a conversation easily.
Repeat 3-5x- Repeat 1 interval to 1 rest period
Cool Down: Once you have completed 3-5 intervals and rest, cool down by walking 5 minutes and don't forget to stretch!

OPTION TWO:
So for your run today or tomorrow begin intervals. These can be done on a treadmill, outside on your favorite running trail, or on a track.

{Love Stitched}: {{Tips}} and tricks on Eating Healthy
I know this isn't crafty but I wanted to share this. I always have good intentions to eat healthy and lose weight and well the darn sweets mess it up for me.
So how many of you have a goal to
LOSE WEIGHT this new year?
Maybe to EAT HEALTHIER?
Well today and tomorrow I am going to HELP you with a few little tricks and tips...
Today we will focus on EATING HEALTHY and tomorrow we will hit the EXERCISE tips :)
THE 101 ON EATING HEALTHY
{for a healthier you or to lose weight}
* Drink half your weight in water*
~did you know that most people don't even drink more than 8oz in ONE day? so someone who is 120 pounds should be drinking 60oz of water a day. Research shows this not only hydrates you, makes your skin look healthier, but also makes you eat less through out the day~
~did you know that adding lemon to your water can help kill your cravings for sweets? Lemons carry the appetite suppressant PECTIN...so squeeze that lemon into your eight glasses a day ;) ~

This salsa very well could be my favorite holiday recipe. It has gotten to the point where I am not ask to bring "whatever I like" to holiday parties, I am now specifically asked for this. So here it is my Christmas gift to you......
Cranberry Salsa
1 bag of fresh cranberries
1 bunch of fresh cilantro
1 medium onion (sweet onions are best)
1 small jalapeno without the seeds
1 cup of sugar (more or less depending on your taste)
Juice of 1 lime
Throw everything in your food processor then refrigerate for at least 1 hour. This allows the juices to really blend. Serve alone or over a brick of softened cream cheese with tortilla chips or crackers. Get ready to give out this recipe EVERYONE loves it!!
Happy Partying!!
